It seems so unfair that I only get three weeks brake after every quarter. These three weeks have gone by even quicker than previous weeks. Anyhow, back to school, ready or not. This first week took me by surprise, because I'm already overwhelmed with papers and reading assignments. It's only been four days since classes started and yet I have already written two papers. I cannot imagine the rest of the quarter! In any case, I'm ready!

You are ready, just follow your own words about giving up the past and prepare for the future. Moreover, the only person in your way of supreme growth and destiny is a girl named Ghery! The woman named Geraldine is ready for anything even the arduous journey toward the incomparable Phd. For a woman of color the Phd will empower you with the prowess to call your own shots and most importantly help other women of color reach their dreams. I believe that one day I and many others will find you being written about and celebrated for doing remarkable things in this mixed up world we live in. Just remember, that when the student is ready the teacher(s) will always appear. God is on your side Geraldine.

You've witnessed my tears, the many days AND nights of long phone calls to help me find solutions and as well as to support me. Everything is possible with my inner conviction and as well as having a FORMIDABLE mentor like you. I will not disappoint you or myself.
