Defining yourself has everything to do with nourishing your mind, body and soul. One way of doing so involves seeking insights from a good book.

There is something maginal and therapeutic about reading a good book while siting on your couch; or while enjoying a nice bubble bath; or siting at star bucks.  It may not be any of these places.  The key here is to find a peaceful place that fits your style. I find it quite sad when people, especially women tell me they don't have time to read. Everyday, you must create one hour to yourself to immerse yourself in you by meditating, to balance yoursef. That means, no company; just you, yourself and you.

There are several ways to balance yourself and one involves immersing yourself in a good book. (The complete list of balancing techniques can be found in the "art of balancing the mind, body & soul" subtab).

Here, I have included some great books that will inspire, motivate, educate, uplift and empower your mind, body and soul.  If you lack time, pick one book a month to read.  If you can read one a week, that's even better.

To buy from my picks, just scroll down, click on desired pick and click desired payment method.  For help, you can always contact me prior to making your purchases.

I hope you take a little time to focus on you while immersing yourself in one of my picks.

Happy reading!!

Books Every Smart, Forward-Thinking Woman Needs to Read

The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment

By Eckhart Tolle - $20

Much more than simple principles and platitudes, the book takes readers on an inspiring spiritual journey to find their true and deepest self and reach the ultimate in personal growth and spirituality: the discovery of truth and light.

In the first chapter, Tolle introduces readers to enlightenment and its natural enemy, the mind. He awakens readers to their role as a creator of pain and shows them how to have a pain-free identity by living fully in the present. The journey is thrilling, and along the way, the author shows how to connect to the indestructible essence of our Being, "the eternal, ever-present One Life beyond the myriad forms of life that are subject to birth and death."

Featuring a new preface by the author, this paperback shows that only after regaining awareness of Being, liberated from Mind and intensely in the Now, is there Enlightenment.
